Household Waste

Sanitation Services Authority

If you have household appliances or bulk waste that need to be removed, please leave it in a safe place outside your home and call the Sanitation Services Authority at +1 (246) 262-5326 to have it collected free of charge.

Household Recycling

There are a number of recycling centres across Barbados that allow you to recycle certain household waste free of charge.

B's Recycling

Located at Reece Road, Cane Garden, St. Thomas and Bosvigo Road, Eagle Hall, St. Michael.

This facility accepts cardboard, plastic containers, food cans, glass bottles, vehicle batteries, scrap metals (Cane Garden facility only), car bumpers, old appliances and old vehicles.

Persons who are unable to visit one of the depots in person can call B's Recycling at +1 (246) 438-9285 to book a free collection service.

Opening Hours

Monday to Saturday: 8 AM – 4:30 PM (St. Michael facility closes at 6 PM)

Sunday: Closed

Sustainable Barbados Recycling Centre

Located at Vaucluse, St. Thomas.

This facility accepts cardboard, office paper, shredded paper, telephone directory books, newspapers, plastic containers, food cans, glass bottles, coconut shells, tree clippings, grass clippings, rock, soil and used pallets.

Opening Hours

Monday to Friday: 7 AM – 5 PM

Saturday: 7 AM – 3 PM

Sunday: 3 PM – 6 PM (coconut shells only)
