Any person in receipt of a valid Welcome Stamp visa is not required to obtain an entry visa, regardless of their nationality.
The official website to apply for an entry visa is apps.immigration.gov.bb. Avoid using third party websites to apply, because they are not authorised by the Government of Barbados.
Haitian citizens: No entry visa is required for citizens of Haiti with an official and diplomatic passport, or an ordinary passport with either (a) indefinite leave to remain in the United Kingdom; or (b) permanent residency in the United States, Canada, or a country within the Schengen Area.
Haitian citizens who have a U.S. green card (i.e. permanent residency) do not need an entry visa.
If this applies to you, remember to bring your U.S. green card when travelling to Barbados, as you are required to furnish proof that you are exempt from the requirement to obtain an entry visa.
If you are a citizen of another country not listed on this page, you do not need to obtain an entry visa as long as you enter Barbados using a valid passport issued to you by that other country.
While the Prime Minister announced on February 22, 2025 that freedom of movement for most CARICOM nationals should come into force from June 1st, 2025, this date has now passed, but no announcement has been made to confirm whether or not freedom of movement is in force in Barbados.
To the best of our knowledge, freedom of movement for CARICOM nationals is not currently recognised in Barbados. As such, CARICOM nationals are advised to obtain permission from the Immigration Department to reside in Barbados for more than six months a year, or to work in Barbados.
